I believe in a world where we don't suffer with pelvic pain. A world where we don't hurt and aren't at war with our bodies and our cycles. A place where we are connected in mind, body, soul, and womb. I believe in a world where we are in love with ourselves and don't doubt our strength, creativity, power, or beauty.
We live in a world that confuses common and normal.
It’s common to have a headache; it’s not normal. That’s not normal physiology but an indication that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. Often you need more sleep, water, or decreased tension. The same is true of our cycles. We live in a world that acts like it is normal for people to suffer from pelvic pain, PMS and painful periods–we get told it’s just part of being a woman. That’s not normal; it’s common. There are solutions and I’m here to make sure this doesn’t stay common.
About Me
Welcome. I’m Dr. Amanda Holden and I’m a chiropractor that focuses on women’s pelvic health. For fifteen years I lived with intense pelvic and menstrual discomfort and I now I have a very different relationship with my pelvis. I’m committed to helping you have peace in your body (if that’s what you want ;) ), because there’s nothing wrong with you or your body. We live in a culture that encourages us to push ourselves too hard. We are taught to ignore the messages in our body in the pursuit of high performance and helping others. We are slowly poisoned in order to keep us in line, small, and with less access to our magic.
The people I impact often first begin their journey by healing some physical symptoms, then they deepen their connection with their body, and ultimately find access to things they forgot they once dreamed about.
End the War with your Pelvis and Come Home to Something Magical.
They say you spend 26 years of your life sleeping. What they don’t tell you is that you spend 10 YEARS of your Life Menstruating. What’s your experience of that time like? What if you fell in love with your cycle and actually looked forward to all the nuances and gifts? Sounds like crazy talk, right? Want to join me?
